Our Labor Day was spent with the White family, looking for leprechaun poop.

Okay, so the story actually told is that leprechauns leave candy rocks sprinkled among the “normal” stones in the forest. Gavin, Roma and Quincy bought it.

I stick by my poop theory.

After the great “rock” hunt, we traipsed back down the mountain to eat lots of food and hang out.

We also celebrated the two September birthdays – Katie and Jojo. Jojo was the 13th, and turned 16, while Katie’s day is the 19th and she’s finally turning 20. I write “finally” because it’s just weird having a teenage sister who is married.

The cake was a farm with animal cracker livestock and wafer fences. I stripped it down to the chocolate on chocolate – Ali obligingly ate the accessories.

More photos of the weekend here, including Miss Q’s Sunday brunch:

*After posting this, I just noticed that Eric and Mo are wearing Kelly green in the first picture. That was a coincidence. They are not – I repeat, NOT – in any way associated with the littering leprechauns.
