E in WW

In June, Aunt Nettie made a special trip out to California to visit us!
She took Roma to San Diego one day to visit some friends, with a stop at Robert’s (Quincy’s godfather) house in San Clemente. Roma had a blast at the beach and park, along with being spoiled by Rob’s TV (she asked Rob politely if she could take it home with her).
We girls also walked to the local pottery painting store to make a Father’s Day gift for Eric.

The girls nearly wimped out when a strange man in a white car responded to their outstretched thumbs.

But we made it into town, and everyone contributed to a masterpiece. I purposefully waited until Aunt Nettie visited to make the gift, since I wanted to take advantage of her painting skills (have you ever tried to write words on a mug with a tiny paintbrush? I have, and won’t ever do it again).

Before she left, E and the girls also made us all pizza, with plenty of basil picked off my (surprise!) flourishing basil plant.

Quincy and Roma helped tear up the basil, and Q offered Roma a taste.

Which Roma didn’t like.
But she recovered, and we had a delicious pizza.
