Cleaning up the photo folders
There is another new photo gallery that should have been up a while ago. It contains pictures from Father’s Day, when Quincy, Roma and I took Eric up to the mountains for lunch and fishing. Eric and Mom brought Dad. Or something like that.

Anyways, we snacked on sub sandwiches and the guys spent the afternoon fishing while the women threw rocks into the river. Our goal was to shoo the fish away from our stretch of the river up into the waiting nets of Eric and Grandpa.

Dad Versluys received a funny present from Mom – a fold out grilling apron. With a really goofy hat. We all had a good laugh, and hopefully we’ll see him decked out and working his new grill in the near future.

My girls enjoying the great outdoors:

This was taken after several hours digging around in the dirt, which is the reason for her street-fighting hoodlum look.

Quincy chilled out through lunch, and then was up and happy for the rest of the trip. We got some fun faces…

I was sorry I didn’t get to spend Father’s Day with my Dad, and I felt even worse that I didn’t get a card or anything out to him in time. But I resolved my forgetfulness with a nice note on the actual day – via text message. I’m just glad he has a lot of other kids so my weak attempt could get lost in the shuffle. At least he does know I still love him just as much as if I’d bought the biggest Hallmark card.
I love you, Dad. Maybe next year.
