Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband and the girls’ amazing papa! We celebrated Eric’s 27th birthday a day early with decorations, cake and cards last night. Eric and I are ditching the girls with my mom today so that we can enjoy a belated celebration of our 5th wedding anniversary (which was the 12th, smack in the middle of our annual Redding waterskiing trip), so we needed to make the big to-do about Papa’s birthday...

Ah, now, here it is nearing the end of August, and I am happily sorting through and uploading our many photos from this exciting summer. We had a meandering June... …which culminated in another Survivors Camp... … which lead into a (somewhat) warmer July. We spent Independence Day with a leisurely day at my parents’ house and later at the airport/ranch to visit the horses. Nothing says “America the Beautiful” like this view. Oops, I meant this one.
